WHY do dog owners take such a high and mighty view of themselves? It's never their dog that causes a mess. They are very keen to point out other problems such as litter, as if that excuses them. If we object to the mess we are branded as dog haters.
In reply to M and J Hiles (Your Letters, May 27) I, for one, do not see dogs as a man's best friend. My best friends have two legs, are clean, very sociable, articulate and very loyal. I consider a dog-free zone on a couple of more remote hills a very sensible move.
