IN reply to Mr Harris (Your Letters, May 27) and his concern over dog mess and litter, I have just walked about a mile from Earnslaw Quarry to St Ann's Well. The results of my survey are as follows: Litter - 2, vandalism - 0, dog mess - 18. The facts speak for themselves.
As for Mr Hine, the dog warden, perhaps he might be best employed trying to deal with this problem rather than encouraging even more dogs into the area.
