Car enthusiasts from all over the country will be heading for Eastnor Castle.

They will be taking part in the Volvo Owners' Club national rally on Sunday, June 12.

Among the classic and modern Volvos at the event will be a 120 Amazon owned by Ledbury motorsport enthusiast Ian Stainburn.

Mr Stainburn, a local architect, has competed in motorsport events all over the country.

He said he was looking forward to the Eastnor rally and would be entering his car in the Best Kept Volvo competition.

This usually attracts around 100 entries from proud owners of classic and unusual Volvos, including PV444s from the 1950s, 120 Amazons and more modern cars.

The club's technical specialists will be on hand to give advice to members and loan specialist tools for repairs.

There will also be trade stalls selling spares and accessories and a display of the latest Volvos by Johnson's, the Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester dealer.

The rally will be open to the public and admission is free.

John Griffiths, of the Volvo Owners' Club , said: "We're looking forward to having the rally at Eastnor, it's a really good venue that was recommended to us by Ian Stainburn."
