ROB Wood taking a night off gave other riders a chance in last week's Velo Club Sevale 12-mile hilly time trial.
Guest rider Gavin Poupart was a clear winner, over two minutes ahead of club members Brian Boswell and Mike Amery.
The full results were: G Poupart 32.46, B Boswell 34.55, M Amery 35.47, W Davies 37.15, A Tarling 37.44, S O'Toole 38.24, J Barnett 39.27, B Tarling 39.58, R Davey 40.34, T Knight 41.20, J Sharrock 41.49.
The next event is a 10-mile time trial, which will be held on Thursday (June 9) on the Chance Lane course. Note the later starting time of 7.30pm.

The club also runs a Sunday morning ride starting from Barnards Green at 9am.
