IN this Sunday friendly Malvern won the toss and decided to bat first.
Captain A Croft promoted himself up the order and opened with R Francis.

A steady start was made until Croft was out lbw to Lyes for 27. Croft and Francis put on 73 for the first wicket.
R Francis was bowled by Jones for 45, A Cullen (6) and S Carter (11) perished to Rushworth. This bought D Cox to the crease who played some nice shots all round the wicket. Cox and C Heritage put on 106, Cox being 72no and Heritage being 26no. Malvern finished on 225-4 off their 40 overs.
After a splendid tea, Malvern went out to bowl.
Dumbleton, however, were never up with the run chase. D Cox, 3-8 off five overs, and C Francis, 2-23 off six overs, were the pick of Malvern bowlers. Dumbleton finished 137-5 off their 40 overs.
