SPORTY students and proud parents enjoyed glorious sunshine for Lyppard Grange Prim-ary's school sports day.
The friendly competition was the high point in an activities week at the Worcester school, which included specialist football, basketball and cric-ket coaching. "It was the first time in three years we have had great weather for the event and everyone seemed to really enjoy the day," said Michelle James, a teaching assistant and event organiser at the Ankerage Green primary. "There were sprint, distance and relay races, as well as high jump, long jump and throwing the bean bag. There were plenty of happy faces."
Every pupil received a certificate and the visit of Dulux the Dog ensured plenty of smiles from the children.
