CORSE and Staunton Village Hall committee is holding a jumble sale tomorrow (Saturday) at 2pm when the stalls will include almost everything, including bric-a-brac, china, household items, books, toys, children's and adult's clothes, cakes etc.
Tea and coffee will also be available. The proceeds will be for village hall funds and taking in will be on Saturday morning from 10am.
The countryside weekend in aid of Corse Parish Church was a great success with £1,200 being raised for church funds and everyone is thanked.
A table-top sale is being held by Staunton and Corse Playgroup in the village hall on Saturday, June 18 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Stalls will include nearly new, baby and children's items, books, a raffle, make-up and aromatherapy. Tea and coffee will be served.
Winners in the Corse and Staunton playing fields lottery (200 Club) in April were Mr J Clayton, N Hulls, S Taylor and Mrs Kimpton.
For your diary. Staunton and Corse churches will be holding a grand fete on Saturday, June 25 in the grounds of Staunton and Corse CE School from noon. There will be a pig roast and hot dogs for the children, a children's fancy dress competition, the Five Star Liners dance team, Gloucester Academy Junior Wind Ensemble, country dancing by the children of Staunton and Corse School, stalls of all kinds etc. Watch this space.
