THE Rev. David Nichol's final service in the benefice will be this Sunday, June 12 at 10.30am at St Peter's Church, Powick. All are welcome to attend this service, which will include worshippers from St James', Callow End and from St Mary's, Guarlford and St Mary's, Madresfield. There will not be any other services this Sunday. The combined choirs will sing and it is likely that a quarter-peal will be rung by the bell-ringers. Following the service, there will be a bring and share lunch to which all are invited.
On Monday, Powick Parish Ramblers meet at the Three Nuns, Colletts Green at 6.30pm for a three-mile walk with leaders Joy and Phil Bunyan. For details ring (01886) 832774.
Sixteen Brownies from 1st Powick and 1st Tibberton enjoyed a pack holiday in Powick Parish Hall during the half-term week. The crafts and activities were based on the theme of the Magic Roundabout and included Zebedee pencils and roundabout mobiles and shaggy dogs based on Dougal. The leaders were Sally Parsons, Jaqui Sprague, Ann Leeming and Louise Maund.

Next Friday, June 17 come and join in the Midsummer Madness wine and strawberries evening at 86 Malvern Road (at Edna Jenkins' house and garden) from 7pm. Entry is £3 to include a glass of wine and strawberries and cream. There will be a raffle, craft stall, plants and preserves and good company. The event is organised by Powyke WI.
