SOLDIERS in uniform, Spitfires and street parties feature in an exhibition of wartime photographs at Upton Library this month.
The exhibition is to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and has been organised by the Upton Branch of the Royal British Legion.
Chairman Betty Williams said she had been flooded with fascinating photographs from local members, including a wartime photo album from the branch's oldest member, 99-year-old Norman Thomas.
"It was a wonderful response and the exhibition has been very popular," she said.
The Upton branch will also be marking the anniversary with a special church service on Sunday, July 3.
The VE Day exhibition will be open until the end of June in Upton Library. Admission is free.
