planted tubs will be placed near the entrance to town and along the river next week, as the Upton in Bloom bid gathers pace.
They are in addition to the hanging baskets outside shops, pubs and other premises, as campaigners look to emulate last year's gold medal and Severn Trent Water Conservation Award.
"The flowers really make the town look lovely. I think local people and visitors to the town appreciate it," said Clive White, a member of the Upton in Bloom Committee.
