A couple's dream of opening an indoor play area for children is under threat from planners.
Adrian and Paula Duncan want to transform a building on Malvern's Enigma Park industrial estate for youngsters aged up to 12.
Their change of use application for Units 2 and 3, Sparrowhawk Close, will be considered by the district council's southern area development control committee on Wednesday (June 15).
Planning officers are recommending refusal. They say the change to non-industrial use would go against the council's development plan policy.
The application has gathered support from members of the public, who have written 23 letters urging approval.
Among their comments are that "Malvern desperately needs an indoor play centre" and "with all the emphasis on childhood obesity and health, every area should have an indoor play centre".
Another writer notes that a play barn in Hereford is in and industrial area and "there is no conflict there" over its location.
