AN explosive Irish dance show is coming to the Midlands and for the first time ever, audiences will see dancers' shoes literally burst into flames live on stage.
Magic of the Dance is one of the most popular and spectacular Irish Dance show's in the world and will be staged at Malvern Theatres from Monday, July 4, until Saturday, July 9.
And if you miss your chance to catch the show in Malvern, it will be stopping at the Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday, July 11 until Saturday, July 16.
A spokeswoman for the production said: "Magic of the Dance combines tells the timeless love story of a boy and a girl whose future is blighted by the evils of the deadly famine in Ireland.
"When they travel to America to find a new life, dark forces conspire to separate them during the journey.
" Sustained by their love of music and dance, they encounter a series of adventures as they continue to search for each other and for a means to defeat the demons that dog their lives."
The show stars eight times World Irish Dance Champion John Carey, who hails from Birmingham and has also starred in legendary productions Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
"His astonishing grace and agility has led him to be hailed as a worthy successor to his former mentor Michael Flatley," added the spokeswoman.
Magic of the Dance also features a stunning cast of top Irish tap champions and includes the dance group New York Tap All Stars.
"Stunning back projections; special effects from Jaka Bizilj, who worked on Mission Impossible II, narration by the legendary horror film actor Christopher Lee and an energetic cast make Magic of the Dance one of the hottest shows to see this summer," concluded the spokeswoman.
