REGARDING your leader (Friday, June 3) in defence of local newspapers, I'm much happier with a newspaper, a magazine or a book than with radio or TV.
And I'd much sooner read a novel than watch a drama or film on TV. There's an old saying "you're never alone with a book". However, I also love Shirley Bassey and Mozart.
