A MUM from Worcester headed to Downing Street today in an effort to help her son after he was diagnosed with a severe muscle wasting condition.
Jane Field, of Kepax Gardens, Barbourne, joined campaigners from the Race Against Time campaign calling for funding for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy to be raised to £20 over the next five years.
Her seven-year-old son, Murray, was three months ago he had the condition, which only affects boys.
It limits life expectancy to early adulthood and makes it difficult for Murray to run, climb stairs or ride a bike.
