A DROITWICH band is hoping their blend of retro and modern rock and roll is the ticket to a successful career.
'The Tickets' only formed six months ago but are already embarking on a tour of local venues and planning for the future.
The four piece, who list influences as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, met as friends with a common interest for music before forming the band.
Group members describe their music as catchy and upbeat with melodic beats and vocal harmonies with a vintage sound.
The Tickets are made up of Andy Robinson and Kristian Rolfe on the guitars and vocals, drummer Mark Donnelly and bassist Phil Elt.
Andy Robinson said: "We are a very ambitious band. We are currently playing gigs and getting it together but hope to send out demos and will definitely be looking for a record deal in the future."
Next up for the lads is a gig at Droitwich British Legion, in Salwarpe Road, on Friday June 17 and another at Worcester's Marrs Bar on June 20.
A four-track CD is available to buy at their gigs or by calling 07813265941.
