A WORCESTER-based recording and rehearsal studio is planning to offer up-and-coming singers and bands the chance to shoot their own music videos.
Kevin Davis, who runs Seventh Wave Rehearsal Studios, in Worcester Trade Park, off Sheriff Street, with business partner Scott Lannie, said they want to provide a complete package of allowing musicians to record tracks as well as film videos.
"Bands could have a video of themselves in the studio or they can go out and choose a location," said Mr Davis.
He added that they are in discussion with someone who has all the recording equipment necessary to make a video.
"This is a definite possibility, not just a plan we are talking about. We think it would be a first for Worcester and it is very exciting," said Mr Davis.
The studio opened in October 2003 with the aim of providing musicians of all ages fully- equipped rehearsal rooms and multi-track digital recording facilities. In June 2004 it incorporated music tuition at the studio provided by talented musicians from all over the Midlands.
The studio is now in the process of writing to all local schools and colleges to expand this tuition.
