DAVID Powles was again in fine form but Pershore were left to regret a series of drop-ped catches as Saturday's Birmingham League visitors Lichfield clung on for a draw.
The spinner grabbed 5-56 after the Staffordshire side had made a promising start in pursuit of 240 for victory.
Lee Wilks chipped with a couple of late wickets but the last pair batted out the last three overs to deny Pershore another third division triumph.
Wilks had earlier shone with the bat as his hard hitting knock of 92 helped The Bott-oms side amass 239 all out.
It should have been more after the hosts had been inserted on a track that looked full of runs and skipper Stephen Cooper smashed 29 off 27 balls to set the early trend.
David White hit 35 and his stand with Wilks realised 130 but the middle order batsmen lost their way and the innings closed on a slightly disappointing total.
Lichfield reached 51-0 after 16 overs but they too lost their way and had to rely on the tenth wicket pair to thwart Pershore's attempts for victory.
Powles was in fine form with the bat the following afternoon but a decimated Pershore outfit lost by seven wickets against Halesowen.
Powles smashed an explosive 78, including a dozen 4s and three 6s and helped Lachlan McKenzie (38) add 110 for the second wicket.
However, once the two were parted the frailty of the inexperienced Pershore line-up was exploited to the full and a score of 182 proved an easy one for the Premier League outfit to overhaul.
A disappointing weekend for the club also saw the second team struggle against a string Lichfield side who were nevertheless dismissed for 191 in 45 overs.
Holly Penwarden was the chief architect of the home side's downfall with a magnificent ten-over spell that earned figures of 6-23 including a hat-trick.
An unlikely victory was never going to materialise despite Gary Stevenson's top score of 37 in a reply of 104-8 that lasted the full 55 overs.
