A FAIRLY quiet week at Broadway was interspersed with county competitions and only two competitive fixtures were played.

There was midweek action in the Willersey Provisions Cup against Chipping Camp-den who found themselves on the wrong end of a 173-101 defeat.

There were comprehensive victories for Broadway skips, Steve Aldren (43-13), Mick Aubrey (37-15) and Phil Taylor (32-11), who also picked up a maximum eight on one end.

Broadway are progressing well in this competition after three games having picked up maximum points.

Needing two shots to force a draw on the last end of last Saturday's Concorde Ladies League match, Viv Hall's rink lost two shots and the match by four.

Littleton were the beneficiaries of the final rink thrills to record a 69-65 success that had seen both clubs won on two rinks.
