THE Alcester Garden Walkabout raised more than £3,000.
The takings broke all previous records as organisers sold more than 730 tickets.
Visitors and residents enjoyed a stroll around town centre gardens.
All proceeds from the walkabout, including sale of plants and refreshments, go to Cancer Research UK.
Two other organisations, Abbeyfields and the Guides and Scouts joint headquarters committee, held events in conjunction with the walkabout and raised more than £1,000 between them.
