AT the May meeting, president Miriam Knowles announced the death of Rosemary Elliott's husband, Stan.
She said that the club would be passing on sympathy and good wishes to Rosemary, who as a minister had officiated at the June service on many occasions.
Pat Roach, the outings secretary, announced the June ramble was fully booked and also that the trip to Tatton Park Flower Show in July was going ahead as planned.
The speaker was Marion Canning, who talked about her work as a toastmaster.
She related many anecdotes about the difficulties as well as the lighter moments of her job.
The raffle was won by Mo Attwood.
The next meeting is on Thursday, June 23, when the club will hold its annual June Service led by the Rev Mike Godfrey, Vicar of St Mary's, Wythall. This will be followed by an American supper.
