HOLDERS Kidderminster Victoria pulled off an impressive seven-wicket win over Premier Division Himley in the Birmingham League Challenge Cup.
They now face stern opposition in the next round at Old Hill, another Premier League side.
Himley batted first with Bassey their top scorer with 48.
Craig Siwicki bowled well taking 3-38. Mark Mansell took 2-20 with skipper Ted Baylis getting 1-20.
Himley quickly took revenge with Mansell and Jonathan Wright soon out.
However, Divan van Wyk and Craig Wood gave a great exhibition of how to steal singles. van Wyk was run out on 24, but there was then some good hitting from Andy Siwicki, and his partnership with Wood did the job. He was not out 31 with Wood unbeaten on 42.
Himley 120-7, KVCC 121-3.
