Stourport were beaten by five wickets at Oldswinford in a County League Division Three encounter.
On a wicket where bounce could not be trusted, Stourport, who lost the toss, were soon fending balls from throat and ankles.
The only batsman to show signs of coming to terms with the pitch were Ian Delo (35no) and Richard Savery (17), who batted with skill and judgement. Stourport's total of 114 from 40 overs, however, was never going to be enough.
Oldswinford scored 17 in the first two overs, then 23 overs were lost to rain.
M Fradgely notched 43, then Stourport showed signs of fight and took five wickets, with Ben Champkin claiming 4-38. However, the experienced John Stanier saw Oldswinford home with 24 no.
Stourport Seconds beat Oldswinford at Walshes Meadow by 76 runs.
Mark Moss hit 82 and Adam Selleck took 6-49.
