It was another blank day for both teams as Cookley's troubles continued in the County League Division Two.
The first team, though, again looked to be on course for victory with wickets tumbling at regular intervals as Harborne chased the visitors' total of 181 all out.
With Harborne six wickets down and barely 80 runs on the board Cookley had every reason to think they might be celebrating their first win of the season. But once Taylor (49no) and Potter (52no) became established, victory for the home side looked assured and they ran out winners by four wickets.
Earlier, half centuries by John Martin and Kiwi John Blakely proved the mainstay of the Cookley batting performance, but a total of below 200 was unlikely to be enough.
After their first win of the season the previous week, Cookley 2nd Xl's confidence was high at Lea Lane despite having to field a weakened team. But their batsmen struggled to a total of 139-8 which was never going to test the visitors.
And so it proved with openers Brian Jones (71no) and Foss (50no) never in trouble and knocking off the runs for a resounding 10-wicket victory.
