HISTORY was made at Kidderminster Golf Club on Sunday when a junior team was entered for the first time in their annual Pro-Am tournament.
The team comprised three Kidderminster junior members whose selection was based on the amount of time and dedication they had put into their game over the last couple of years.
Kidderminster junior captain Anna Rock (handicap 9), Paul Dunn (6) and Craig Richardson (12) represented the club and their flourishing junior section.
With their professional, Finlay Clark, from the Worcestershire Golf Club, they posted a superb final score of 16 under, finishing in second place overall.
Forty three teams entered the competition, each comprising three amateur golfers and one Midland professional.
The winners were: Simon Such, Paul Lamb, James Toman and Warley professional Kevin Dickins.
Meanwhile, if any local business is interested in sponsoring the junior section in any way they should contact Brian Longmore, junior organiser at Kidderminster Golf Club, on 01562 822303.
