WYRE Forest District Council is to be congratulated for the transformation at Burlish Top Nature Reserve.
As a horse rider the new path surface from Kingsway down to the Rifle Range is a fantastic improvement, a transformation.
The new path is not only great in all weathers for horse riders like myself, but it allows walkers, cyclists and even wheelchair users to enjoy the pleasures of this area.
Just one small criticism - the entrance gate at the top should go. Alternatively the small wooden bollards should be removed and a no-parking area 12ft wide should be created.
It needs that much space to open a gate on a horse and we'd hate to damage someone's car.
Of course, we could simply continue to gain access a little further down the road as we've been doing for many years.
Congratulations and keep up the good work. More of the same please.
