I AM sure that everyone who attended Bewdley Carnival will agree that it was very successful.
There were fears that this year's carnival may not go ahead because of a lack of committee members. However, more people did join the committee and as a result and with other organisations' help, it went ahead and I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves.
The revived event of the music in the park organised by Bewdley Festival and the district's cultural and leisure services featuring a jazz band was very popular and I hope they will continue to be part of carnival week next year.
Although there are so many people to thank I feel that a special thanks should go to Andrew Ince, a new member who took on the difficult roll of field marshall and whose job it was to organise the field events.
Next year will be the 40th anniversary of Bewdley Carnival and I am sure it will be even better.
Thank you to everyone involved.
