ONE thousand seven hundred women will be running in the Race for Life on Sunday - and joining the crowds will be several workers from the Evesham Journal.
The annual five-kilometre race, starting from the Crown Meadow, will see women from the ages of six to 68 help raise more than £85,000 on the day.
Women can walk, jog or run the five kilometres to help funds for Cancer Research.
Organiser of the event, Clare Hartley hopes the race, now in its third year, will continue to follow last year's success by raising as much money as possible.
Staff at the Evesham Journal have been limbering-up for the event in preparation of the event and are pleased to be supporting the cause.
Evesham's Race for Life takes place on Sunday, June 19 at Crown Meadow at 11am.
The Journal's Race for Life team is Lucy Tarry, Claire Cottrill, Jean Grogan, Claire Breward and Jay Rana.
