BEWDLEY Town Football Club are celebrating a triumphant season - on and off the field!
Not only did they clinch promotion, but have also made headlines for their award-winning match programmes.
Their on-field success came in the West Midlands Regional League Division One where they finished second and were promoted to the Premier Division.
And, to put the icing on the cake, their match programmes have been judged as the best in the league's three divisions.
The award organisers are The Wirral Programme Club who have been running since 1967.
Each club had to send them a minimum of three programmes to be eligible.
Bewdley were one of 1,084 clubs represented in the scheme, and nationally they finished in 128th place with 151 points. The winners were Exeter City (331 points) followed by York City (256) and AFC Wimbledon (239).
One of the main contributors to the programme, Paul Lacey, said: "Myself and Chris Middleton, who has been involved in the programme for a number of years, were mainly responsible for collating the weekly information with myself doing match reports and stats. Chris obtained visitors info, player profiles, photographs and other club's team reports.
"A very special thanks go to local printers Veldonn, who have published the programmes week in and week out, free of charge. Without their support we would not have been as successful."
