AN Evesham chef will be pulling on her walking boots for charity when she takes part in The Moonwalk Challenge in London.
Thirty-four-year-old Sue James, from Swan Lane, is taking on the challenge as part of the Walk the Walk organisation's campaign to raise money for breast cancer.
The event at London's Hyde Park is taking place overnight this Saturday. If Sue is to complete the marathon, she will have to cover all 26-miles of the course.
Sue said: "This is a very big challenge for me but I have been training hard and if I am not ready now I will never be. It has always been an ambition of mine to run in the London marathon and this is the next best thing."
Around 15,000 people will be taking part in the walk, which starts at midnight.
Sue is head chef at the Evesham Hotel and has had to fit her training around her. She started her training regime in February and although it can sometimes be testing, she has the determination to keep going.
She said: "Sometimes when I get in after a long day, the last thing I feel like is going for a walk, but I really want to raise as much as I can for breast cancer and on a personal level I want to be able to complete the course."
