Due to illness the scheduled June speaker was unable to attend, so Helen England stepped into the breach at short notice. She used home grown flowers to make arrangements, hand-tied flowers, modern wedding corsages and exotic wreaths.
Stella Smith reported on the flower, craft and food day at the Ramada Hotel, Bewdley, when flower arranger Andrew Lloyd, and fruit grower Colin Bromfield were guest speakers.
Brenda Barrett reported on the farce Bad Dreams, performed by Chaddesley Amateur Theatre Society. She has arranged a walk on June 29, those taking part to meet at Spennells car park at 10am.
Secretary Muriel Owen announced that WI House, at Worcester, is to be put up for sale.
The competition for a royal commemorative item was won by Lesley Grant.
The next meeting will be at The Oaks Community Hall, Mustow Green, on Monday, July 4 at 7.30pm when there will be a competition for a photograph or postcard of Kidderminster.
