A DAY at the races - including £50 spending money - is among prizes in a raffle being held as part of a fund-raising fete in Cleobury Mortimer.

Manor House nursing home is holding the event, in the grounds of the premises, on Saturday between 2pm and 4pm.

Entertainment at the fete, which has free admission, includes a brass band, children's dance group and a keyboard player-singer.

Volunteers who regularly raise money for the manor House Residents' Comforts Fund are organising the event.

Proceeds will be used to cover the cost of running various activities, including outings and film shows, for the home's elderly residents.
