STAFF and students at St Augustine's Catholic High School in Hunt End are striving to raise £50,000 in a bid to become a specialist science college.
Specialist status would not only make St Augustine's a centre of excellence for science and maths but would also benefit the community.
The school has raised £13,000 towards its target, with £5,000 donated by GKN in Redditch, the same amount from Malvern-based QinetiQ and the rest through parental contributions.
Anyone who would like to donate to the school should contact Mr Farr on 550400 for details.
