HUNDREDS of farm animals from across the country were heading towards Malvern yesterday for the Three Counties Show.
Outside Wye Hall, pedigree cattle were being unloaded from their trailers, washed and groomed in readiness for the judges.
But the livestock displays are just part of a show that is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors over the weekend. The event is a regional showcase for the best in country living, from agriculture to business to rural sports.
Entertainment will include a range of main arena events, such as sheepdog and gundog displays, heavy horse obstacle competitions, trotting and scurry racing and the Red Devils freefall parachute team.
"We're looking forward to a good show," said Sharon Gilbert, of the Three Counties Agricultural Society.
