I would like to congratulate the organisers of the Macmillan Elgar Cycle Ride held last weekend (as a sponsored event).

I rode the longer route and it was well signed and marshalled. The route card was informative and the strategically placed 'water stops' were much appreciated.

A special thanks to the ladies at Storridge Village Hall, who provided excellent refreshments and also kindly 'relocated' later to near Upton and to the finish - well done! I trust the money raised will be spent wisely for the care of cancer sufferers in our county.
