A LOCAL brewery has created a one-off beer especially for a new beer festival.
Y-O-Y, from Malvern Hills Brewery, will be on sale at the CAMRA Beer on the Wye festival from Friday to Sunday, June 24 to 26.
Brewery owner Julian Hawthornthwaite described Y-O-Y as a "lightly hopped refreshing beer", brewed using yeast normally used for making lager.
Mayfields Brewery, a new business based near Bishop's Frome, will also be launching its inaugural brew at the festival. Pioneer takes its name from the locally-grown pioneer hops used in its brewing.
Beer on the Wye, on the banks of the River Wye near Hereford Rowing Club, will showcase more than 60 cask beers from all over Britain as well as beers, ciders and perries from local producers.
