AFTER a slow start Arden sailing Club members were kept busy all day entertaining visitors to their second taster day of the year.
There was a moderate wind and no rain but while the sun did put in an appearance it was all to brief. While most of the training team were kept busy taking people out for a taste of sailing, the rest of the members were kept busy answering questions.
It was good to see that some of the newer members were able to take their boats out for a spin, while several members took the opportunity to give the club's newly acquired fleet of Laser Picos a try. The combination of club GP14s and the Picos for training and use by the club members looks like being a winning formula.
The members of Arden have a busy period ahead with the training course starting on Saturday, July 2. There are still some places for those who are interested.
