COLWALL IV v WORCESTER III
With accurate bowling by the Worcester seamers Wilkins (3-46) and Lavander (3-32), Colwall were in trouble at 71-6 after 20 overs.
A disciplined batting performance from 13-year-old Sam Critchard (46), Andy Lannie (42) and 13-year-old Will Lloyd (21no) gave Colwall a defendable 175.
Worcester made a solid start with a 60-run opening partnership from Peppiatt (27) and Oakley, he advanced to 47 with consecutive boundaries, and was then impressively stumped by Wheeler going for a third, off leg spinner Coleman.
Inroads were made into the Worcester line-up, however, they were always in control, keeping up with the run-rate.
Contributions from Stevens (23) and a match winning 31no from Simpkins saw Worcester win by four wickets with three overs to spare.
