AN Accountancy firm in Worcester has been recognising the artistic abilities of school pupils with its annual awards night.
Rabjohns Business and Tax Advisers held its fourth annual art awards evening in conjunction with the Alice Ottley school, Worcester.
The College Yard practice hosted teachers, parents and pupils, allowing them to view the paintings before those of the finalists were hung in the public areas of the practice.
The winners were Mary Duckham and Nicola Dunlop, who both received cheques from Rabjohns. The school also received a sponsorship.
"This is one of our most enjoyable evenings of the social calendar," said Ian Smith, Rabjohns chairman.
"It's a pleasure to recognise the skills of these youngsters." adults about to take the first steps in their careers. Every year, I look forward to seeing our clients' reaction when they see the artwork, it always sparks a discussion.
"All parties get something out of this scheme. The artists get a chance to display their work in public and we benefit from a fresh display of innovative art every year."
