MALVERN Town slipped to a surprise 4-3 home defeat to bottom- of-the-table Bridgnorth Town in the Travel Factory Alliance on Bank Holiday Monday.
MALVERN TOWN 3, BRIDGNORTH TOWN 4
The sixth-placed hosts fell two goals behind, to a first- minute penalty opener from Andy Syder and a Chris Childs' strike midway through the half.
Darren Bullock's penalty on 44 minutes and a second-half Simon Judge goal put Malvern Town level.
But former Stourport Swifts player Childs put Bridgnorth back ahead on 72 minutes.
Gareth Vaughan added a fourth four minutes later to make Nathan Jukes' late strike purely a consolation.
Malvern Town are away at Stratford Town (3pm) tomorrow (Saturday) in the Midland Alliance.
Malvern Town defeated Stratford 2-1 at home earlier in the season.
