MALVERN Town travelled to fourth-placed Loughbrough Dynamo and returned with a satisfying 2-0 victory.

LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 0, MALVERN TOWN 2

Malvern started well and in the 6th minute Phil Preedy's shot from the edge of the area went just over the bar and in the 12th minute Nathan Jukes took a quick free kick from 20 yards that Darren Bullock just failed to get a head on.

Malvern took the lead in the 17th minute when Nathan Jukes's free kick from 30 yards out on the right hand side evaded everyone and nestled into the far corner of the net.

Twelve minutes later Malvern increased their lead when the ball was played to Simon Judge who chested the ball down, turned and volleyed the ball which flew into the net from 25 yards out with the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

Dynamo instantly responded and Paul Wyatt made a fantastic save to prevent David Burrraway from pulling a goal back within a minute and seven minutes later a fine sliding tackle by Andy Chalmers denied Andy Rushbury a shot.

Back came Malvern and following good work by Duncan Preedy and Des Cox down the right Cox crossed the ball into the area to Bullock who shot just over.

Just before the break Phil Preedy worked his way towards goal and crossed to Judge, who could only get the top of his head on it and the ball went over the bar.

The second half saw Loughborough with more possession but they failed to create any chances and Paul Wyatt had little to do in the Malvern goal.

Malvern were content to soak up the pressure and attack on the break and in the 57th minute the ball came to Bullock some 25 yards out and his powerfully struck shot screamed just over the bar.

On Wednesdy evening Malvern Town defeated Causeway United 2-0 away in the Midland Alliance with Des Cox scoring a goal in each half.
