MALVERN Town made a great start on Saturday and after only four minutes Dean Roberts found the back of the net from a ball that was crossed in by Duncan Preedy and headed down by Scott Morris.

After 31 mins Phil Preedy picked up the ball on the half-way line and rode some strong tackles only to run the ball all the way past the keeper but to find the angle a little too tight. He squared the ball back to Roberts, who side-footed it into a open net.

The second-half saw the roles reversed and Malvern found themselves having to defend a lot more. On 65 minutes the visitors seized the opportunity to get onto the score sheet when a corner was converted by Phillip Rowe to make it 2-1.

Malvern conceded another goal in the 70th minute when the visiting keeper kicked the ball forward to Jason Barton, who ran on to hit the equaliser.

Malvern Town start their FA Vase campaign tomorrow (Saturday) with a visit to Midland Combination Premier Division side West Midlands Police (3pm).

On Tuesday (September 14) Town are due to entertain Cradley Town at Langland Stadium (7.45pm).
