UNBEATEN Malvern Town welcomed Loughborough Dynamos to the Langland Stadium for their fifth league match in the Travel Factory Midland Alliance.

MALVERN TOWN 1, LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMOS 1

The first half saw Malvern start in a positive manner having two or three clear cut chances to take the lead, but a combination of poor finishing and good goal keeping keep the scores blank at half time.

Dave Alden replaced Adam Moss in the Malvern goal for the second half due to an ankle injury.

On 50 minutes the visitors took the lead when David Bowerway tapped home a controversial goal after the ball appeared to be dragged back across the goal by his strike partner's hand.

Malvern then retaliated with intense pressure only to see chances squandered. The best effort coming from Des Cox firing inches over the bar from 12 yards. Then, with a twist of fate, Malvern equalised when an injured Loughborough player came back onto the field of play without the referee's permission, conceding an indirect free kick.

Nathan Jukes squared the ball to Dean Roberts whose shot was blocked on the line but rebounded to Des Cox, who made no mistake in smashing the ball home.

Malvern thought they had grabbed all three points but Duncan Preedy's effort was ruled out by the referee for pushing.
