THE streets of Warndon came alive with colour for a street carnival procession by the area's junior school.
"We really cheered up the area," said teacher Lynda Morgan. "There were an awful lot of people out there watching the procession go by. The children had a lot of fun and the procession allowed them to show off what they had been working on during our Creative Arts Week. It was a great community project." Pupils made their own costumes and music and the arts teachers at the school, who organised the event, liaised with police to ensure the streets were kept traffic free as the parade went past.
