AUSTRALIAN Simon Allison was in blistering form in the heat as Pershore lost by 95 runs at Redditch in Birmingham League Division Three.
After winning the toss, Pershore took to the field and saw Dan Protherough score just 14 in a 100-run opening stand as Allison punished the visiting attack's lack of accuracy.
The introduction of spinners David Powles and Lee Wilks slowed the scoring rate and Tom Bales took the wicket of Allison (107) at 156-4.
A fifth-wicket stand of 64 between Gailey (41) and Davis (23) again put the hosts in the ascendency and they posted 240-6.
After losing an early wicket, only David White (40) was able to come to terms with the Redditch pace attack and the result was never in doubt.
From 94-8, Mark Stevens (41) and Martin Johnson (14) added 44 to give the score some respectability and gain a bonus point before Pershore were dismissed for 145.
The Seconds earned a winning draw against Studley.
