MALVERN RFC made light of a difficult-looking Midlands Two West game at Spring Lane on Saturday with a vintage display against Kenilworth.
Director of rugby David Robins was understandably delighted with the performance.
He said: "That was a complete stuffing - and I wouldn't normally use those words publicly.
"They came with a reputation as a quality side, but we put paid to any lingering hopes of promotion they may have had with a top drawer show.
"We were good all round, with the back row putting in an enormous performance and the tight five ensuring we dominated the scrum. We out-mauled, out-rucked and dominated in defence, then freed up our backs to run at them all afternoon. Steve Ott put in his best performance to date and was my man-of-the-match, whilst Andy Longley's positional kicking was immaculate.
"We have now won six on the trot, but must win the four remaining games to get into at least the play-off spot. The whole team is motivated, we are finishing strongly and the lads know it is all in their hands."
