MALVERN Town play the biggest game of their season so far tomorrow (Saturday) when they entertain Midland Combination premier division outfit Coventry Sphinx in the second round proper of the FA Vase.

Malvern hope to progress to the third round for the first time since the mid-70s and welcome back Duncan Preedy and Des Cox following their injuries. Craig Williams will have a late fitness test.

Definitely out is Scott Morris who will see a specialist next week for the results of the scan on his injured knee. Dean Roberts will play his last game for a while as he is having an operation on Monday.

Coventry Sphinx already have a Midland Alliance scalp in the Vase this season as they defeated Ludlow Town 4-0 in the replay at Ludlow in the previous round, after drawing 1-1 in the home tie.

Town manager Neil Hunt is expecting a tough game and hopes that a bumper crowd will turn out at Langland Stadium to encourage the team to further glory.

The match kicks-off at 3pm.

Likely squad: Wyatt, Lambert, Chalmers, Clayton, Bullock, Cannon, Jukes, James, Preedy (D), Preedy (P), Roberts, Cox, Smith, Tomkins, Thomas, Baldwin, Judge and Williams.
