PARK-keepers will have two new sets of wheels this summer to help keep Worcester's green spaces clean.
The city's four-strong maintenance team is hoping their two new vans will enable them to visit some sites twice a week instead of just once, so they can clear up rubbish and repair vandalised facilities more quickly.
The team patrols 50 play areas to empty bins, collect dumped rubbish, carry out repairs and undertake vital maintenance.
"With the prospect of more rubbish and more day-to-day wear-and-tear during the school holidays, the new vans give us a quicker response and the ability to be more visible," said the city's assistant parks manager, Phil Burton.
