The weather blessed a fete in Barbourne, Worcester, as residents turned out to raise money for a local church.
The allure of the traditional fete, featuring everything from a tombola to bric-a-brac, combined with the balmy June weather to help raise £4,000 for St Stephen's Church, off Droitwich Road.
"We couldn't have had a better day for it," said Geoff Hill, one of the event organisers, as clear skies and soaring temperatures enc-ouraged a healthy turnout to the event.
The funds raised from the fair are to be used to repair the church's clock and clock-tower, which are a focal point for the local community as well as churchgoers.
Mr Hill was pleased with the results of the fete and felt it was a great success.
"Everybody came together with a helpful spirit and a great day was had by all," he said.
