THE outcome of University College Worcester's bid to secure full university status is imminent.
Inspectors from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) visited the St John's, Worcester, college in November, last year, and a decision had been expected by Easter.
But the Privy Council, which makes the final decision, is yet to receive the QAA's assessment report.
This is expected shortly and the Privy Council will announce its decision in due course.
Worcester MP Michael Foster pressed the Department for Education and Skills in a Parliamentary written question for news of a decision.
Education Minister Bill Rammell replied: "We are awaiting advice from the QAA on University College Worcester's application for university title.
"We expect to receive this soon."
