FANS of modern Irish song writing are in for a treat on July 1 when lengendary Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan and his band, The Popes, perform at the Birmingham Academy (6pm start).
MacGowan, who is famous for his weather beaten looks and his powerful song writing, will be performing several new track amongst the classics he has recorded with the band.
